“I’m not charging my “worth” because I literally can't 😆 there’s not even a number for that." — F.S.

Hey, Love.

If you're a coach, creative, or service based entrepreneur. you've probably come across that popular saying... "charge your worth," a thousand times over.

At times, you've probably even wondered what exactly that means or how do you translate your worth into a number or price-point?

I think the intention of that philosophy is great! 😊

But... have you ever thought...

If I “charged my worth”—all of my programs, offers, art, and services would be 9,000,000,000,000,000,000 x ♾  infinity to the power of one hundred thousand, baby! 🥰

LOL - we know our worth over here!!! Right?

(And we ALSO know how unethical it gets in these internet streets when it comes to how much people charge and for what it is that they’re selling 🤣)

Hear me out on some real sh*t, real quick:

The financial return you get from your business’ revenue, your investments, your *insert income & monetization stream*... doesn’t actually validate or reflect your worth, value, or even the prerogative to raise your prices over & over (& over & over) as your “scaling strategy.”

The financial return you get from your business’ revenue, your investments, and your *insert income & monetization streams* actually is a reflection of:

(0) YOUR EFFECTIVE & TANGIBLE ABILITY TO USE YOUR GIFTS TO HELP OTHERS

(1) YOUR STRATEGY (for the respective wealth creation stream)

(2) YOUR COMMITMENT x CONSISTENCY

(3) YOUR PATIENCE

(4) YOUR FAILURES

(5) YOUR LESSONS

(6) YOUR MARKETING

(7) YOUR POSITIONING

(8) YOUR HARD WORK

(9) YOUR CONSISTENT ACTION

(10) and THE MATCH VALUE YOU GIVE OTHERS (which energetically, by Universal Law, comes back to you).

(of course, any real & ethical entrepreneur will tell you this, others might play in your face and make it seem like everything revolves around YOU, lol).

On the other hand, your personal WORTH is just that, it’s personal.

Self Worth is a reflection of *YOU*, and only you, validating your own existence… with whatever results you have, or don’t have.

Homeless or housed… your worth is the same.
out of debt or in debt… your worth is the same.

2k client or 18k client… your worth is the same.
30k month or 2k month… your worth is the same.
16k followers or 100 followers… your worth is the same.

Fucked up an investment or won a trade by a landslide… your worth is the same.

What I believe has happened with this, “charge your worth,” sentiment is…

A lot of spiritually inclined entrepreneurs start doing “personal development work,” naturally, as the entrepreneurial journey calls for it… But as they start to heal their internal sense of “enoughness” and “self worth,” they will, in some cases, start to tie in commerce WAY TOO DEEPLY with their personal confidence.

While I think charging higher rates is necessary, just, and smart… sometimes those higher rates aren’t in integrity with the realized value people be giving. 👀

So… it gets a little narcissistic when people attach their worth to their success👀

Stay with me…

We can be all up in the vortex and manifest astronomical amounts of money & success in our online businesses, but in the real world, we also have to consider this thing called THE MARKET 🤯

(the emoji is sarcasm bc so many spiritual business coaches don’t talk about this, they’d rather pretend that they’ve “manifested” being an outlier of the global economy and are above being effected by market changes🤓)

To wrap up my take on this…

I’m not charging my “worth” because I literally can't 😆 there’s not even a number for that.

What I am doing, though?

I’m charging what allows my creations, my wisdom, and my impact

(1) to be scaled in integrity

(2) to be accessible (by diversifying price points & breaking up my value into specific offerings)

(3) to be sustainable across multiple types of economic activity (holds power in the long run),

and

(4) is supportive of my lifestyle & entrepreneurial goals 💸

So, you might now be wondering… how should YOU determine what to charge for people to be in your world?

Here’s what I would advise:

>> Charge based on what feels supportive, expansive, and in integrity to the information, time, heart, and energy you bring to the table in the respective offerings type AND ALSO is conscious of the collective market. <<

That’s why it’s great to have a diversified business model with multiple entry points, AND an entrepreneurial set-up that doesn't just depend on ONE business or income stream.

Personally, that's why one of my approaches inside of
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐘 is to teach digital entrepreneurs like yourself how to ensure the design of your business model (inclusive of your product suite) is maximized for sustainability and multi-level accessibility, that way, you're not leaving money or impact on the table in any market.

Hope you enjoyed this read.
